Summer break seems so close… I know you’re dreaming of an amazing vacation. Maybe you’re imagining another same-old trip to Mexico or Florida, or even Beach Week. You’re probably thinking of anything to distract yourself from exams and 15-page final research papers. I get it.
But why not bring the spectacle of paradise to you?


Take a step outside… close your eyes… and imagine the Brazilian breeze on your face. Blue macaws singing their beautiful tune and a tropical parade dazzling with beautiful colors. 


The brothers of Pi Kappa Alpha welcome you to RIO. Come join the biggest carnivál in the world, a spectacle of vibrant colors, feathers, dancing, and magic. Enjoy the samba dancers, adorned in feathers and sequins, as they bring you the flavor of Rio Carnival. A grand parade float is calling your name, its feathered wings reaching to the sky as it covers you in a shimmer of color. Get ready to immerse yourself with the steel drum beat, and let the South American spirit take over!

Band Pickup

	•	Wednesday: 5-8 PM, Thursday: 11AM- 5PM, Friday: 11AM- 5PM
	•	Your ticket’s QR code will be scanned to confirm correct purchase.


Venue/Transportation
• Bands will be checked to get on buses. 
• Bands will be checked at entry to the tent.
• Further announcements will be made via strings regarding location.


If you do not have a band, you will not be allowed in the party. 
If your friends do not have a band and QR code and Uber to the destination, they will be turned away.
If you intend on consuming alcohol at the event, make sure to bring your ID for the entrance.


Piketoberfest 2025

Goodness gracious! Tan-lined spring breakers returning from Flawda and Caribbean resorts now pack this campus. I reckon your professor has decided to schedule a midterm the day you get back from break, and you said that you were gonna study on the plane, but you slept instead. CS330 and Math220 are ruining your day-drinking plans. And bless your heart, you’ve gotta see your roommate again. Spring break is now a dream over yonder that is slowly fading from memory. 

That post Spring Break realization, the “Fuck, I can’t have my dogs out at the beach anymore” feeling has started to set in. Luckily, the brothers of Pi Kappa Alpha have been here before. And we’ll be damned if we don’t do anything about it. 

We invite you to put on your cowboy boots and head on over to the Rodeo this Saturday March 23rd! It’ll be a real live boogie and a real live hoedown. If you want a return to the fun of spring break and some good old-fashioned entertainment, then don’t be shy. Wear your best boots,sport your finest denim, and come in high spirits. The mechanical bull awaits!

In order to receive a band, your name must be on the invite list. When you arrive to pick up, we will ask for your name, and if you are not on the list, we will not give you a band even if you have made the Strings purchase.
