Poetry written to my brother who killed himself via intentional overdose because his depression was fatal. 

5 years I've been here 
While my brother's been dead 
I'm starting to lose the way he talked 
and I'll never hear him again 
5 years ago I was here
 but I didn't hear when he said 
W here the f*** is she
 I did it, i think I fucked up again 
5 years ago I was here but my brother was alone 
I was waiting for him to call me 
when my brother overdosed 
5 years ago I was here 
But I wasn't enough to keep him alive
 I was here and not there 
And that's why my brother died
5 years since my brother passed away
I don't know how I did it 
but I felt it when his soul didn't stay 
It's been 5 years since the blue had reached his face 
My little brother left me and went to outer space
5 years now since my brother lost his life
He didn't die because of drugs 
He died cause he wasn't alright
5 years it's been that they turned my brother to ash
It wasn't that he lived this way 
He only died to fast 
5 years since the time that I thought I'd given all I could give
But I know I could have done something 
more to make my brother live 
5 years ago today my father lost his kid
My brother made sure the drugs were the last thing he ever did 
5 years ago right now 
my brother wasn't alright 
He died because he was tired 
and he didn't like his life
5 years ago now my brother forgot to breathe 
I guess I would have to if all I had was me
5 years ago today my brother didn't stay 
And now there are some days 
I go without saying his name
After 5 years I'm starting to lose his face 
How can this be real 
how can I take his place 
5 years ago today my brother chose to die
It was not an accident 
My brother committed suicide 
5 years ago today my brother ceased to exist 
I would've done anything 
To be a reason to live
